Vickie L Huffman Pruitt, MA, LCPC has provided therapy services in the Springfield, Illinois area for over 25 years. She is the founder of The Therapy Center, Inc. She received her Masters of Science degree in Counseling at University of Wisconsin-Stout. Her professional experiences range from working in a juvenile detention center with adolescents and families, residential treatment and in-home counseling, to inpatient and partial hospital programs, and private practice.

Currently she is offering in-person sessions and telehealth; on the phone or video session. Also, periodically she offers groups exploring depression, anxiety and codependence.

Vickie specializes in treatment for trauma, whether a current trauma, or an unresolved past, or more specific a childhood trauma. We all tend to carry our trauma history with us, on our journey of life. Untreated and unaware, our trauma history can sabotage our life in so many ways. She sees herself as a teacher, facilitator, and a partner. Together, you will work to explore and increase your understanding and to begin your healing.
